See whether the prices you took beat the closing line, now live in beta. Plus a snappier mobile app, rebuilt mobile filters, refreshed promotions, and automatic soccer grading.
A week ago we shipped the new bet overview and said the closing line value gauge was coming soon. It's here now, in beta. Alongside it: a faster app on your phone, a cleaner way to filter, refreshed promotions, and soccer bets that grade themselves. CLV is the headliner, so we'll start there.
CLV answers one question. Did the price you got beat the line when the market closed? Bet a team at +120 and watch it close at +100, and you beat the close: you took a better number than the market settled on. Take +100 on a team that climbs to +120 by kickoff and you didn't.
Among bettors, consistently beating the closing line is one of the most widely used signs that you're getting good prices, because the closing line is about as efficient as a betting market gets. It's a read on the quality of your prices, not a promise about any single bet. A bet can beat the close and still lose, or miss the close and still win.
You'll find it on your dashboard. We show your average CLV as an expected value percentage, the share of your bets that beat the close, and a split of how many came in positive, negative, or even. Flip between today, yesterday, the past week, month, year, or all time.
Right now the closing line we compare against is our sharp line: a de-vigged read of the books that move the market, like Pinnacle, Circa, and FanDuel. When we couldn't capture a close for one of your bets, it shows a dash instead of guessing.
This is a beta and we're just getting started. CLV today is a single number across all your bets. Next we're adding a lot more granularity, so you can break it down and see where your prices are sharpest and where they're leaking.
Moving between tools on your phone is quicker now. We cut the loading screens that used to sit between pages and started fetching the next screen before you tap, so jumping from positive EV to the bet tracker to the odds screen feels close to instant. Less waiting, fewer spinners.
Filtering on a phone used to mean one big dialog. Now each filter is its own pill in a row you swipe across, and tapping one opens a focused bottom sheet with just that filter's options and a search box. It's faster to change the one thing you want to change, and it works the same way across the bet tools and the promotions page.
Last update brought live soccer scores to your bet cards. This one teaches the autograder soccer, in beta. Place a soccer bet and, once the match finishes, the tracker settles it for you the same way it does the other sports, no manual grading needed. It's new, so if something settles wrong you can still override the result or report it from the bet card.
We've refreshed the promotions, so the sign-up offers on the board are current. Sorting and filtering got easier too, especially on mobile, with the same pill-and-bottom-sheet setup and a cleaner sort menu.
That's the update. CLV is live on your dashboard right now, so open the app and see how your prices are stacking up against the close.
