Bet Tracker overview

The Bet Tracker is the bookkeeping layer of SmartStake — every bet you take from a tool becomes a tracked Wager that is graded, rolled up, and counted toward your real profit and loss.

What the Bet Tracker is

The Bet Tracker is the bookkeeping layer. Every time you act on a recommendation from a SmartStake tool — a +EV bet, an arbitrage leg, a Smart Money signal, an Insiders pick, a Lineup Dropper price, a fantasy slip — you take it, and it lands here as a Wager. From that moment forward the tracker owns it: grading the result when the game settles, rolling up the outcome, and folding the numbers into your running profit and loss.

The tracker is how you know whether your strategy is actually working. Finding edges is one thing; the Bet Tracker is what turns a history of bets into proof of real results.

Wager kinds

Every entry in the tracker is a Wager, and every Wager has a kind.

  • Single — one leg, one selection, one set of odds. The most common type.
  • Parlay — multiple legs that must all win. Odds are combined by the book; one losing leg sinks the slip. If a leg pushes, it drops out and the odds are recomputed from the surviving legs.
  • Fantasy slip — a DFS-style slip with N picks graded against a payout-tier table. A Power play requires every pick to win; a Flex play has multiple tiers where hitting fewer picks pays a reduced multiplier (which may still be a net loss at the lower tiers).

Each Wager also carries a toolType that records where it came from — positiveEV, arbitrage, promoConverter, smartMoney, insiders, fantasy, or manual. Kind and provenance are independent: you can have a parlay from any tool.

The wager lifecycle

A Wager moves through three states from creation to settlement.

Open (pending) — the Wager exists but no result has been determined yet. The stake is committed; the outcome is unknown. A parlay or fantasy slip stays open as long as at least one leg is still pending and the slip has not already been eliminated.

Graded — each Leg (Bet) of the Wager receives a result: won, lost, push, or void. For moneylines, spreads, totals, player props, and common combos, the autograder resolves legs automatically when results come in. Some situations — book errors, cashouts, dead heats, or markets the autograder does not cover — land in a needs grading state and wait for manual review.

Settled — once all legs are graded, the tracker rolls up the Wager: it derives the final status and actualPayout from the per-leg results, applies free-bet payout rules if the Wager was a free bet, and marks the Wager settled. Settled Wagers count toward your profit chart and ROI. If the autograder or rollup gets it wrong, you can apply a Manual Override to pin the outcome directly; overridden Wagers are sticky and skip future rollup passes.

Early settlement on guaranteed losses

The tracker can settle a losing parlay or fantasy slip before every leg has graded, as soon as one leg's result makes the slip mathematically unwinnable. This keeps dead slips from lingering in your open list.

What counts toward your results

The Performance page displays your settled Wagers, which contribute their actualPayout to the profit chart and ROI calculation. Promo bonuses appear here too — recorded as free-bet wagers tagged bonus, they add their credited value at no stake at risk. Deposits and withdrawals are not tracked, because they have no profit-or-loss effect.

Open Wagers do not count toward profit until they settle. To see what your open and live bets are doing before they settle — a daily snapshot with projected profit and live tracking — use the Bet overview.

For a full breakdown of the performance charts, ROI, and the calendar view, see Performance charts. To learn how promo bonuses are tracked, see Promo bonuses.

Getting bets into the tracker

The fastest path is one-click add, which pre-fills the slip from a tool recommendation and records the Wager in one step. You can also enter bets by hand or edit any existing Wager — covered in Adding and editing bets. For grading details and manual overrides, see Bet grading and outcomes. To export your history, see Exporting your bets.

  • Odds, prices, expected value, conversion rates, and profit figures shown are estimates based on the last data we retrieved. They can change at any time — confirm the current price at the book before you bet, as odds may move and entry errors can occur.
  • Any numbers, screenshots, and worked examples shown are illustrative only. They are not representative of typical results and your results may differ.
