Free vs Premium — what's included
What you can use for free versus what a Premium subscription unlocks — tools, book coverage, and the free trial.
How access works
SmartStake is built around Premium, a single paid subscription that unlocks every tool. A few things are usable for free without subscribing, and new accounts can try the full toolkit on a free trial. Upgrading or letting a subscription lapse never costs you data — the Bet Tracker keeps your history either way.
What you can use for free
Without a Premium subscription you can still:
- Standalone calculators — every calculator (arbitrage, EV, devig, Kelly, hold, free-bet, odds converter, and the prediction-market converter) is free to use and needs no account. See Calculators.
- Odds Screen — the read-only cross-book odds grid for comparing prices at a glance is available without Premium. See Odds Screen.
- Free trial — new accounts can run the entire Premium toolkit for a few days at no cost (see below).
What Premium unlocks
Premium enables the live discovery tools and removes the restrictions on book coverage and devig controls:
- Positive EV — the full +EV feed across all supported books, plus the full custom devig controls: your choice of devig mode (power, multiplicative, additive, probit, or worst) and the complete sharp-books menu with per-book weighting, required/optional flags, and min-sharps. The parlay builder is included.
- Arbitrage Finder — the full arbitrage and middles feed across 70+ sportsbooks, exchanges, and DFS sites, including one-click links that open each leg directly in the relevant sportsbook.
- Live Arb and Live EV — in-play mode for both the Arbitrage Finder and the Positive EV tool, where live odds update in near-real-time for some books and within about four seconds for others.
- Smart Money — the sharp-money signal tool, which reads exchange order-book depth across 6 exchanges to flag where liquidity is moving.
- Insiders — picks and wallet data attributed to qualified Polymarket and Kalshi sharp wallets, with confidence scores and a browsable wallet leaderboard.
- Fantasy — the DFS optimizer and betslip builder (Power and Flex slips) with the same fair-value devig math as Positive EV.
- Promo Converter — the full guided workflow for converting sportsbook promos into hedged bets that aim to retain most of the bonus value.
The free trial
New accounts verified after 3 October 2025 that have not previously subscribed are eligible for a 5-day free trial of Premium. The trial CTA appears on the upgrade screen in place of the standard "Join Premium" button. Accounts that subscribed before that date, or that have already used a trial, are not eligible.
Choosing a plan
Premium is available on weekly, monthly, and yearly billing cycles. The yearly plan saves a percentage compared with monthly billing — the exact savings are shown on the pricing page. For pricing, billing management, and cancellation, see Plans and pricing and Managing your subscription.
- Odds, prices, expected value, conversion rates, and profit figures shown are estimates based on the last data we retrieved. They can change at any time — confirm the current price at the book before you bet, as odds may move and entry errors can occur.
- Sportsbook promotions are typically available to new customers only and are subject to each operator’s terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements.
