Two plans, plus a free trial

SmartStake sells two paid plans:

• Premium unlocks every SmartStake tool, Fantasy included: the complete book list, live odds feeds, and every discovery and signal tool.
• Fantasy unlocks the Fantasy tool on its own, for DFS pick'em players, plus the account features every paid plan shares.

You hold one plan at a time. Premium already includes the Fantasy tool, so you never need both. New accounts can try either plan on a free trial, and a few things are usable for free without subscribing at all.

What you can use for free

You don't need a subscription to use:

• Standalone calculators: every calculator (arbitrage, EV, devig, Kelly, hold, free-bet, odds converter, prediction-market converter) is free and needs no account. See Calculators.
• Odds Screen: the read-only cross-book odds grid for comparing prices. See Odds Screen.
• Fantasy on Tuesdays: every signed-in account can use the Fantasy tool on Tuesdays without a subscription.
• The free trial: new accounts can try Premium or Fantasy for a few days at no cost (see below).

What Premium includes

Premium is designed for users who want the full depth of SmartStake's data and tools. A subscription unlocks:

• Full sportsbook coverage: odds from 70+ sportsbooks, exchanges, and DFS sites across ~36 active leagues.
• One-click links: direct deep links to sportsbook bet slips from the Arbitrage and Positive EV tools, so you can act on a line without searching manually.
• Full custom devig: all five devig methods (power, multiplicative, additive, probit, worst) and a custom devig source, plus the parlay builder in the Positive EV tool.
• Live Arbitrage and Live Positive EV: real-time feeds during in-game action, where lines move fastest.
• Fantasy Optimizer: DFS slip builder that prices Power and Flex slips against a payout-tier table using the same fair-value math as Positive EV.
• Smart Money: sharp-money signal tool built on order-book depth across 6 exchanges, with a configurable liquidity floor.
• Promo Converter with guided workflows: full workflow support for converting promotions, not just the manual calculator.
• Alerts: notifications from your saved Positive EV and Arbitrage filters, plus Fantasy Alerts. See Saved filters and alerts.
• Insiders and Lineup Dropper: see Insiders and Lineup Dropper.

What Fantasy includes

Fantasy is for DFS pick'em players who only want the Fantasy tool. A subscription unlocks:

• The Fantasy tool: the whole Fantasy board, with the SmartStake Line and your own Custom model, Power and Flex slip building, the expanded pick comparison with main line history, and the Smart Money picks the board mixes in. See Fantasy optimizer overview.
• Fantasy Alerts: up to two alerts that notify you when a slip has enough picks clearing its breakeven. See Saved filters and alerts.
• Closing line value on your own wagers, including CLV mode in the Bet Tracker. See Closing line value.
• Promo Recommender with every book unlocked. See Promo Recommender.
• Taking a bet from the Odds Screen: adding a price to the Bet Tracker from the bet details panel. See Odds Screen.
• The subscriber dashboard.

Fantasy does not include Positive EV, the Arbitrage Finder, the Promo Converter, the standalone Smart Money tool, Insiders, or Lineup Dropper, nor the alerts and live feeds that belong to them. Opening one of those tools on a Fantasy plan shows an offer to upgrade to Premium.

The free trial

Eligible new users can start a 5-day free trial of Premium or Fantasy before paying. There is one free trial per account, across both plans: an account that has ever held any SmartStake subscription is not eligible, whichever plan it chooses next, so a Fantasy trial is never followed by a Premium trial. Accounts verified before October 3, 2025 are not eligible either. If you qualify, the trial option appears automatically when you go to subscribe, with no coupon code needed.

Users who are not eligible for a trial can subscribe directly.

Billing and pricing

Premium is sold with monthly or yearly billing. The yearly plan offers a discount compared to monthly billing; the exact savings are shown on the pricing page. Current Premium prices are displayed at checkout and on the pricing page; they are fetched live and may change, so this documentation does not quote a specific dollar amount.

Fantasy is $49 a month billed monthly, or $499 billed once a year, which works out to about $42 a month. It has no weekly option. The price shown at checkout is the one that applies.

To start a trial or subscribe, go to Profile → Subscribe inside the app, where both plans are offered, or visit the pricing page directly. You can also subscribe to Fantasy from the Fantasy tool's own page.

Choosing the Fantasy plan on the pricing page takes you to a checkout page for Fantasy alone, with the billing period you picked (monthly or yearly) already selected. If you aren't signed in, SmartStake remembers your pick while you sign in or create an account; a new account answers the short setup questions first and then lands on the Fantasy page instead of the recommended plan. If your plan already includes Fantasy, the page says so and links to the Fantasy tool.

Switching between plans

• Fantasy to Premium: upgrade in place from Manage Subscription, from the upgrade offer on any Premium tool, or from Profile → Subscribe. Your Fantasy plan becomes Premium, the change is prorated, and you are never billed for both. See Managing your subscription.
• Premium to Fantasy: there is no downgrade. Cancel Premium, and once your Premium access has ended, subscribe to Fantasy. A Premium or Founder subscriber can't buy Fantasy while their plan is active, since it already includes the Fantasy tool.
