Reading progressive lines
How to read the progressive line table inside a Fantasy pick — the same player prop priced Over/Under across multiple books and at alternate point values, with sharp books highlighted.
What the progressive line table shows
When you expand a Fantasy pick, the progressive line table appears as the default expanded view. It answers one question: across every book that prices this prop, what are the current Over and Under odds — and, where a book offers the same market at a different point value, what does it price that alternate line at?
The table is scoped to a single player and a single stat category. Each row is one book's pricing of that prop. The columns are Over and Under. Where a row sits at a different point value than the primary line SmartStake surfaced, the point value is shown alongside the book logo so you know the line has shifted.
How rows are sorted and highlighted
Rows are sorted with sharp books first. A book qualifies as sharp if it appears in your active devig configuration and meets the liquidity requirements for both sides of the market. On desktop, sharp rows are visually grouped with a bordered background band. On mobile, they carry a green left border.
The SmartStake aggregate line is always included when available. It represents the synthetic fair price built from the best available reference books — the same price the pick card uses to compute expected value. Because the SmartStake aggregate is the devigged fair line rather than a bookmaker price, it does not carry a clickable link; it is a reference point, not a place to bet.
Sharp book status follows your devig settings
Which rows are highlighted as sharp depends on the Devig Books setting at the top of the Fantasy tool. Under the Default source, SmartStake picks the reference books automatically. Under Custom, the books you chose determine which rows are flagged sharp. See Devig source: Default vs Custom for how to switch.
Progressive point values
Some books allow a pick at a slightly different threshold than the primary line — for example, a book may offer a player's points prop at 23.5 rather than the 24.5 displayed on the card. These are progressive lines: the same market, moved up or down by half a point or more.
When a row is a progressive line rather than an exact match, its point value appears beside the book icon in the column header. Rows at the primary point value show no extra label. This makes it easy to scan for the same outcome at a more favourable threshold, or to compare how odds shift as the line moves.
The true probability figure
Below each book icon, a small percentage may appear. This is the no-vig true probability SmartStake calculated for that row — the fair probability of the primary selection (Over or Under) winning at that line, after removing the book's margin using your active devig method. A higher true probability on the Over means the model believes the Over at that line is more likely than the Under.
The true probability is useful for comparing rows at different point values. A progressive line at a lower threshold will show a higher true probability for the Over; one at a higher threshold will show a lower probability. Use it to judge whether a book's tighter line is still worth taking.
Refresh cadence
The progressive line table fetches fresh prices when you expand a pick and then refreshes on a thirty-second cycle while the card stays open. A loading indicator appears at the top of the table during a background refresh. If no lines are available for the selected book and market, the table shows "No progressive lines available."
Using the table alongside the rest of the card
The progressive line table is one of two views available in the expanded card. A tab control in the card header switches between the table and the line-history chart. Use the table when you want to shop the current price across books; switch to the line-history chart when you want to see how the primary line has moved over time.
To add a pick to your slip, use the action on the main pick card rather than the table. The table is a read-only reference view — it surfaces where the best price lives, but the slip builder controls which book and line you take.
