Parlay builder

How the EV slip builder combines several +EV legs into one parlay, when parlay mode turns on, how combined slip EV is computed, and the deep link into the book's bet slip.

Stacking edges into one slip

Each row in the Positive EV feed is a single bet. The slip builder lets you combine several of those bets into one parlay at a single book, so the individual edges compound into one combined number. It appears as a side panel on desktop and a now-playing bar on mobile.

When parlay mode turns on

Parlay mode is gated on selecting exactly one sportsbook. A parlay is a single ticket at one book, so the legs must all live there — there is no way to combine a leg from one book with a leg from another. The moment you narrow the Sportsbooks filter to a single book, the builder activates and the feed shows only that book's bets. Adding a leg while several books are selected automatically switches the feed to that leg's book and starts a fresh slip; changing the selected book clears the slip, since the old legs no longer apply.

Building the slip

Toggle a bet into the slip and it appears as a leg, grouped by game and labelled with its own EV, market, and price. Add or remove legs freely. As you do, the builder keeps a running tally:

  • Parlay odds — the legs' decimal odds multiplied together, the same way a book prices a parlay.
  • Chance to win — the combined no-vig probability of every leg hitting, derived from each leg's fair price.
  • Parlay EV — the combined expected value, shown once the slip has two or more legs. It compares the parlay odds against that combined fair probability, so the slip is flagged positive or negative just like a single bet.
  • Recommended stake — a suggested bet size from your bankroll and Kelly settings, sized to the parlay as a whole.

Because EV multiplies, a parlay of solid +EV legs can carry a strong combined edge — but a single weak leg drags the whole slip down, so the combined EV is the number that matters, not the legs in isolation.

Taking the parlay

When the slip looks right, take it. SmartStake records it as one parlay wager — a single stake over multiple legs — that the Bet Tracker grades once every game settles. For books that support it, the builder also offers a deep link that opens the parlay pre-loaded in that book's bet slip, so you can review and place it without rebuilding it leg by leg.

For the foundations of how each leg's edge is found, see Finding positive EV bets.

  • Odds, prices, expected value, conversion rates, and profit figures shown are estimates based on the last data we retrieved. They can change at any time — confirm the current price at the book before you bet, as odds may move and entry errors can occur.
